Introduction
Mee ousers Persian Cattery is owned and run by
Coleen Gardner my wife:
Established over 15 years ago in the East Rand,
South Africa. Coleen has showed her cats throughout the country winning many
awards. Being a small private breeder Coleen prides herself on her cat’s
temperaments, this being the essence of her pedigree lines main focus. Her whole
approach starts from her belief that the cat is a pet and companion first and a
show piece second. Over the many years that she has been involved in the Persian
cat breeding community she has achieved an enviable reputation for her success
as a breeder and has breed many champion cats and for that she has been admired
and revered. Her belief is to raise all her cats in her own home and not to cage
or confine them in anyway, she regards them as her personal pets and as a result
they have placid natures and are exceptionally easy to handle and home. Her
favourite colour is red, therefore most of her cats carry the red gene. She also
breeds most colours, patched and solid..
Thanks hubby Richard for your kind words. I found it
difficult to describe how passionate I am about my cattery.
It gives me such pleasure to lie on my couch in afternoon and watch my Persians chasing each other in my small garden not to mention the amount of attempts I've witnessed them trying to catch birds which to date has been unsuccessful.
Yes I love cat shows, If I win that’s a bonus for me if not we’ll
try again next time. My show cats also spend all day in the garden. I only have
one to two litters at a time, giving me the time to love and handle each one
every day. I work mornings only therefore have all the time the world for them
in the afternoon. My domestic Ruth helps me with the morning shift. It gives me
great pleasure to hand over a healthy bouncing ball of fluff to a new family. I
sell my kittens with a contract and they are sterilized before they leave my
home. I would be devastated to find out that they have falling pregnant and added to the population
of unwanted kittens. My husband and I go out Sunday nights to trap ferals
around his factory and we proud to say we have lost count of the number of
ferals we have sterilized.
You are more than welcome to contact me if you
are looking for that very special kitty you are longing to share your home
with.
